Tea Mugs
Tea Mugs
Why not start your day with a hot mug of tea or coffee from this handmade stoneware mug? Enjoy the calm of the morning, take a few minutes for yourself and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Known as a ship mug, the shape means your tea, coffee or hot chocolate will stay warmer for longer. It’s very huggable too.
Every detail is thoughtfully considered from the shape of the rim so it’s comfortable to drink from to the pattern on the base. Inspired by the lines in the agricultural landscape, my Fields collection of functional pots are full of energy, individuality and serendipity in a classical blue-and-white colour combination (you just can’t beat it).
Designed as set collection set or as a mix and match group, you can choose all the same style or mix it up with an assortment of dark and light lines.
Each piece is thrown on the potter’s wheel from white stoneware clay and decorated with slip coloured with natural oxides. The contemporary pattern is created using tradition techniques – sgraffito and brushwork. I intentionally decorate each piece differently so that each one is unique; know that you will have and use the only piece that looks exactly like this one.
Some pieces have the added detail of objects found in the landscape such as tractors and barrel-domed barns.
“I love them. I use them every day. They have pride of place in my kitchen. The mugs are such a comfy shape to hold and use.” Harry
