Classes
“I attended a year’s worth of pottery classes with Bridget. If you have the chance, I’d highly recommend it; if you’re a total beginner or someone just looking to refine skills. I had done a sculpting course before and wanted to do more, plus learn new skills. Warning: it’s very addictive and time flies by. Bridget is a great teacher, classes were very welcoming, informal and fun; you can make what you want, be it throwing pots, slab building or sculpting. Would still be going for lessons if Bridget was still in England. Miss you!”

“Bridget has a kind, encouraging and patient teaching approach, whether your a beginner potter or more advanced. Bridget is an accomplished potter and has so much knowledge to share with her students. Her wonderful teaching style makes for such an enjoyable learning experience and with lots of fun!”

“I had my first experience of pottery with Bridget, and I absolutely loved it (so much so I did a year of classes focusing on hand-building before Bridget moved to Co. Waterford.). Bridget is a great teacher, always happy to ponder through a pottery problem with you and encouraged me to just give it a go and see what happens. I made everything from a complete 9X9 dominoes set to small trinkets and wonderful Christmas decorations, although the most used item in my collection is my shooting star spatula holder. Bridget is also just a straight up lovely human to be around and provided me with a hobby that I continue to love. 10/10 (all the stars).”

“Bridget is such a wonderful, incredibly patient teacher with so much knowledge and talent. She always made everyone in the class feel so welcome and I learnt so much. I would recommend Bridget's classes to everyone!! I only wish I lived close enough to continue going to the classes.”

"I have taken three terms of pottery lessons with Bridget now. I was a complete novice to start with and I found it a fantastic rewarding and creative experience. Bridget creates a wonderfully welcoming environment in which to learn and supports all of the students with a gentle fostering of their skills and the development of their pieces. Her teaching style is just the right balance of instruction and developing discipline in the studio while providing the creative freedom to allow each individual to express themselves through making. I was really pleased with what I had produced and the range of pieces that our class developed was astounding to me and reflected Bridget’s careful guidance, with suggestions when needed but a real respect for individual inspiration. The studio was in a magical location in the middle of the ancient Cranborne Chase landscape and that seemed to seep into the process too. I would wholeheartedly recommend taking a class or a series of classes with Bridget – it’s a transformative experience."

“I really enjoyed my 2 terms of evening classes in pottery with Bridget. I was a total beginner, and not naturally creative or artistic. I produced vases, bowls and figures using all sorts of different potting and glazing techniques, and was incredibly proud of what I produced. Plus going to the classes was a highlight of my week. A total change from my day job, relaxed with a great group of fellow potters. Bridget teaches in a gentle way, encouraging you to find your own style but stepping in with her ideas when needed. And her ability to rescue near-disasters is incredible. Highly recommended!”

“I attended Bridget’s pottery classes last year a complete novice but always wanting to have a try. Bridget was a lovely teacher, patient and fun with time to go around the group individually demonstrating how to do something. We were a small group and our classes were great fun and i absolutely loved attending. I did 2 terms and to my amazement made 4 items which I very proudly display in my kitchen. Lessons were a therapy as well and we all got along so well chatting and sharing. I wish Bridget all the best in her new ventures.”

“Bridget is a wonderful teacher! She’s taught me how to throw mugs, bowls, and vases, and her fantastic tips and tricks helped me improve a huge amount. She's really inspiring! The classes are small and cosy, so you get to know everyone, and she always serves the best tea!:”
